Terms of Service
Welcome to Savoy Charters. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of our website, services, and the charter of our luxury yacht, Savoy, across Australia and New Zealand.
By booking a charter or accessing our services, you (“the Client,” “you,” or “your”) agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully before finalizing your booking.
1. Bookings and Payments
To secure a luxury charter aboard Savoy, the following payment structure applies:
- Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total charter fee is required at the time of booking to secure your requested date.
- Final Balance: The remaining 50% balance, including any requested catering, beverage packages, or add-ons, must be paid in full no later than 30 days prior to the scheduled charter date.
- Last-Minute Bookings: For any bookings made within 30 days of the departure date, full payment is required immediately upon booking.
2. Cancellations and Rescheduling
We understand that plans can change. However, due to the exclusive nature of our vessel, cancellations are subject to the following conditions:
- Client Cancellations: * Cancellations made more than 30 days prior to the charter date will forfeit the deposit.
- Cancellations made within 30 days of the charter date are non-refundable, and the full charter fee will be retained.
- Weather and Safety Cancellations: The safety of our guests and crew is our absolute priority. Savoy Charters reserves the sole right to cancel or reschedule a charter due to unsafe weather conditions, mechanical failure, or force majeure. In the event that Savoy Charters cancels a trip for these reasons, you will be offered an alternative date or a full refund of the charter fee.
3. Conduct Aboard and Guest Safety
To ensure a safe and luxurious experience for everyone on board, all clients and guests must adhere to the following rules:
- Master’s Authority: The Captain (Master) of Savoy is in sole command of the vessel at all times. Guests must strictly follow all safety briefings and instructions given by the Captain and crew.
- Illegal Substances & Behaviour: Savoy Charters maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy for illegal substances, underage drinking, and abusive or disorderly behavior. The Captain reserves the right to terminate the charter immediately, return to the nearest dock, and remove offending guests without a refund if these terms are violated.
- Vessel Capacity: The maximum guest capacity of Savoy is strictly dictated by local maritime regulations (AMSA in Australia and Maritime NZ in New Zealand). Under no circumstances will additional guests be permitted boarding beyond the legal limit stated in your booking confirmation.
4. Liability and Damage
- Property Damage: The Client assumes full financial responsibility for any physical damage caused to the yacht Savoy, its interior furnishings, tenders, or equipment by the Client or their guests during the charter.
- Personal Belongings: Savoy Charters is not liable for the loss, theft, or damage of any personal items, jewelry, or electronics brought aboard by guests.
- Personal Injury: While we maintain the highest standards of safety and maritime compliance, guests board Savoy at their own risk. Savoy Charters is not liable for personal injury or illness sustained during the charter, except where caused by gross negligence on the part of the company.
5. Compliance with Local Laws
Savoy Charters operates under the strict jurisdictions of Australia and New Zealand. Depending on where your charter takes place, your contract is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of either New South Wales/Queensland (or applicable Australian State) or New Zealand. All charter operations, liquor licensing, and safety protocols comply fully with AMSA and Maritime NZ standards.
