To ensure a successful day out cruising with Savoy, we have collated the following helpful information for you, making planning your trip a breeze.

  • Towels and a change of clothes if you are planning to swim or partake in any water sport activities.
  • A warm jacket and some extra layers of clothing.
  • Sunblock, sunglasses and a hat if the sun is shining.
  • Non-marking footwear and no sharp heels – we suggest flat shoes are more appropriate.
  • A playlist of music

The Savoy has long been Auckland’s premier luxury fishing charter and through this has developed its food ethos that fresh and local is best. You can’t beat seafood that comes straight from the ocean and into the frying pan! It just doesn’t get any fresher or more local than that.

When the fish aren’t biting we procure the best local produce available and fuse it with our favourite local and international ingredients to bring you a seasonal celebration of food for your day out with us. This is matched with a selection of wine and beer from New Zealand’s most renowned brewing houses and wineries.

White sand beach with clear blue waters on Motuihe island.

Renowned as being a recreational island paradise right on Auckland’s doorstep, Motuihe Island is not only home to some of the best beaches of the inner gulf islands, but is also home to a number of rare and endangered birds, tuatara and gecko and significant historic sites. With multiple clear water beaches and bays with sheltered anchorages to choose from, and being just a short 40 minute cruise from our base in the Viaduct, Motuihe is an ideal destination no matter which way the wind blows on the day.

Explore the island by walking one of the many tracks or just enjoy a relaxed day of luxury… sunbathing, swimming, wining and dining, either way, Motuihe and the Savoy has you covered.

The world famous beach that needs no introduction! A white sand, north facing beach in the sun all day with calm clear waters, it is an ideal spot to anchor down and enjoy a day in the sun, with the option of tendering ashore for lunch at one of its many restuarants or a visit to a world class winery.

Oneroa Bay is a 1 hour journey from our base in the Viaduct. Taking in the sights of Devonport, Rangitoto and Motuihe along the way, it is a perfectly relaxing and indulgent cruise experience and a very memorable day out.

Oneroa Bay, Waiheke Island

The idyllic Man O’ War Bay is located at the very eastern end of Waiheke Island. It is a full day return cruise, with spectacular scenery of secluded bays and rocky shorelines as you circumnavigate Waiheke on your way to the island’s only beachfront tasting room.

Tender ashore to enjoy a wine tasting and lunch on the lawn, partake in water sport activities, lounge about on the boat or the beach before continuing on your journey with a sunset cruise back to the city.

This tiny island tucked away just behind Rangitoto and Motutapu is easily Auckland’s best kept secret. It is an eco-friendly off-the-grid island paradise that is not easily accessed due to its limited public ferry service.

A day cruise with the Savoy is your opportunity to explore this quintessential slice of kiwi paradise and to enjoy an afternoon of island life the Rakino way!

Anchor in stunning Woody Bay and enjoy the onboard facilities and water activities, before venturing out for a scenic cruise around the Noises Island group on your way back to Auckland.

An important sanctuary to some of our most endangered birds and reptiles, and one of the rarest species in the world, the Tuatara. It is one of the very few places where you can walk amongst these rare native species.

It is home to New Zealand’s oldest operating lighthouse, first lit in 1865, plus a network of walking tracks through lush coastal forests and the unspoiled Hobbs Beach which is the perfect spot to anchor down and spend the afternoon enjoying a gourmet lunch and the onboard facilities of the Savoy before cruising back to the city.

Circumnavigate Waiheke on a full day cruise and indulge in the onboard hospitality offerings. With a fully licensed bar and private chef service, this is the ultimate day out cruising around the most popular and well known island in the Hauraki Gulf.

Voted as Auckland’s best day out, you will see why Waiheke Island is considered the jewel in the Hauraki Gulf’s crown with the pristine beaches and world class scenery on offer. Anchor down in a spot of your choice, enjoy the complimentary water sport activities or just enjoy the day lounging about on your luxury launch, wining and dining and enjoying the feeling of freedom on your luxury escape from the city.
